Naming cupcakes is fun......"Wake the Forest" vs. "The Forester". My daughter didn't get it. She said, "I've never heard of that college!" My apologies to all you Gold and Black alumni. We're just starting the college thing this year. Anyway, this moist cupcake is a subtle twist on the traditional Black Forest cake. I started thinking about raspberries, because they're such a pretty color. And, cherries are best in July, thus aren't really worth exploring right now. Plus who can resist the perfect raspberry? The choco/espresso cake is moist, with a maraschino baked within. It's drizzled with Kirsch and topped with chocolate buttercream, chocolate curls and the berry. Oh so good.
